Another facet of the My Disney Experience program is Fastpass+. The Fastpass+ system allows guests to preselect Fastpass+ experiences up to 60 days before their Walt Disney World vacation starts. We’re hearing rumors that some guests will be testing selection at 180 days before their vacation, which is the same time frame in which dining reservations can be made.
Fastpass+ reservations can be made inside the My Disney Experience website or App. Here’s some screenshots from the website:
First, select the day.
Then, select the people in your travel party. If you are traveling with people in other resort rooms, make you are set as Family & Friends to share planning before you start the Fastpass+ process. This way, one person can make all the Fastpass+ selections for the group.
Then select a theme park. You can only make Fastpass+ selections for one park per day. If you are planning to park hop, I suggest making your Fastpass+ for the park you will visit later in the day.
If you aren’t sure what Fastpass+ you want, you can use the FastPicks option to let Disney choose for you.
Or if you know which experiences you want, you can select up to 3. If you don’t select 3, the system will add experiences for you so you end up with 3.
You can set priority for which Fastpass+ is the most important to you.
You’ll be shown 4 options for times of your 3 Fastpass+. If you’ve linked your dining reservations to My Disney Experiences, the system will not put a Fastpass+ reservation in the same hour as your dining reservation.
And this is the point where I ALWAYS get the Donald error using the website. If I go back a step, I can see that my Fastpass+ experiences are reserved, but I always get the Donald error instead of the confirmation page. I actually find using the app to be easier than using the website.
Have you made your Fastpass+ selections? Did you use the app or the website? How did it work for you?
