Now that the Inaugural RunDisney Dopey Challenge is over, the Dopey Challenge group on Facebook is finding other ways to fill their time.  Someone wondered if a photo collection of RunDisney race medals existed.  We couldn’t find one, so I decided to create one.

The RunDisney name first appeared along with the Inaugural Wine & Dine Half Marathon in 2010.  Prior to that races were produced under the Disney Sports umbrella.  If you have any photos to add to the collection, or better photos than those posted here, please email them to jen@mousekeplanner.com along with the year and name of the race so I can add them!

tip: if you are snapping photos with a phone, tap the actual medal on your display so the camera will meter off the medal and not the ribbon or background, it makes for much better photos!

Disney Endurance Series

(April 29, 2009) Disney Sports is creating a one-of-a-kind bonus medal for runners who complete the Fall Race Challenge, competing in two of Disney’s three fall endurance events at Walt Disney World Resort. Runners that record an official time for Disney’s Race for the Taste 10K and either the Expedition Everest Challenge presented by Champion or The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 13K will receive the bonus medal in addition to individual race medals – a total of three race medals for running two races.
