This week I eased back into training after a week completely off from running.  Monday was slow but on Wednesday I did a tempo run with 2 miles warm up, 2 miles at a 9:45 pace (hey, that’s speedy for me!) and 2 miles to cool down.  On Thursday I was still tired from Wednesday but got another 4 miles done.  On Saturday I went out around 7 PM to get an evening run in.  I’m normally a morning runner, but with the RunDisney Wine & Dine half marathon coming up in about 7 weeks, I’d like to try to get a few evening runs for practice.

Next week will be interesting because I’ll be at WALT DISNEY WORLD for a travel agent training program!  I’m going to do Monday’s speedwork today since I’ll be on a plane early tomorrow morning.  They are going to keep us pretty busy, but I hope to run at least twice while I”m there.  I’ll be staying at Wilderness Lodge and getting a taste of the Central Florida heat & humidity.  Once I get back, it’s time to get serious.  I’m running the Iron Horse half marathon on October 13 and the Indy Monumental Marathon on November 2 and not feeling at all ready for either one.
