4.25 weights off 10K race Rest 11 miles Rest 21.5

Because I built in two extra weeks to my RunDisney Dopey Challenge Training Plan, I just finished up week one.

Monday morning I met my friends for our 6 AM run.  Tuesday I went to the early morning pump class.  Wednesday I slept in, if you can call 7 AM sleeping in, because Thursday was our local 4th of July 10K.  In the rain.  Yea.  My first-ever timed 10K race and it rained the entire time.  At least it was a light rain and not a terrible downpour.  Friday it continued to rain and I made it to pilates for the first time this summer since the kids did not have swim practice.

Saturday it was still raining.  Paul logged 13 miles on the treadmill at the gym and when he came home I took my turn.  I managed 10 miles on the treadmill, restarting it every 2.5 miles.  At 5 miles got some water and I took a lap around the track.  I wanted to make sure there wasn’t anyone waiting for a treadmill that hadn’t been on another one, then I hopped back on for the 5 more miles.  After 10 miles on the treadmill, I did 16 laps around the indoor track to give me 11 miles total and called it a day!

Work has kept me busy this week!  I’m getting ready to open registration for fall consignment sales and my travel agency has put together some exclusive offers for both marathon & princess weekend, so I’ve been busy getting quotes and making reservations for my clients.  Since I”ll be at Walt Disney World starting January 2, I made all our dining reservations yesterday morning.  Runners checking in on January 7 can make reservations starting July 11 and runners checking in January 8 can make reservations starting July 12.  Remember, for Advance Dining Reservations, the 180 plus 10 policy means that starting 180 days before your check-in day, you can make reservations for that day plus the next 10 days after that.

Looking ahead, the plan for next week includes 26 miles and two pump classes .
